More Impressions from Japan

It’s already three months ago, when I came back from Japan. Until now I only showed only a few abstract architecture shots, but I don’t want to miss to show some other pictures which represent Japan, unlike the other pictures.

Here is one from Mount Fuji and Tokyo.

The skyline shot is overlooking 杉並区 (Suginami), the west part of Tokyo, it was taken from the Tokyo Metropolitan Goverment building. On the left side in the front you see the Park Hyatt Tokyo Hotel which became famous after the movie Lost in Translation. On the right side in the background you can see Fujiyama, the highest mountain in Japan, overlooking the mountain ridge in front of it.

The other one shows a dusk mood at Mount Fuji  (富士山). The shot was taken at Kawaguchiko.

Spring flower macro shots and announcement of next trip

Hey ho

I was out shooting some spring impressions in the last weeks. When I went out shooting the last times I wasn’t in the mood for and didn’t find nice subjects for wide-angle photography so I put on my 50-200 f/2.8-3.5 SWD on the fourthirds adapter and looked around for details, spring details.Eventually I was doing macro photography, which I haven’t done for quite a while, so I was enjoying it.
How can’t you resist taking close-ups of spring flowers in full bloom anyway? 😉

Currently I’m doing the last preparations for my upcoming trip to Japan. The trip includes Tokyo, Nikkou and Fujisan. If anybody has some recommendations regarding food to try and places to see in these areas, I’d be happy to know.

More autumnal impressions

Last week I also went to the Paehler Gorge (Pähler Schlucht) and tried to get some autumnal impressions on my memory card. I think I was successful, just have a look and tell me what you think. For sure I will upload more picture in the next days /weeks.

Autumn is here!

Yes, autumn is here! Everything is becoming really colourful again. So I decided to visit some places in South-Bavaria (Berchtesgaden) to get my first autumn shots this year with a befriended photographer. As it turned out we spend so much time in one location  (Weißbachschlucht) that we didn’t have enough time to visit the other spots. We weren’t disappointed at all, because we took our time to find some really nice compositions and also a very cosy place where we spend some time during lunch 😉

Here are the first three pictures in this series, enjoy 😉

The Hidden House

One of the last captures of summer two weeks ago. I found this spot in a gorge near my home.
